My trade I was a cooper, lost out to redundancy
Like my house that fell to progress my trade's a memory

A rogue and child of Mary, from the rebel liberties,
I lost her to a student chap, with skin as black as coal,
When he took her off to Birmingham, she took away my soul.

If it came to it again I'd lay my life down for my country any time I'm proud to be Irish and more proud to be a dub and will be a happy camper come Sunday evening when Dublin are crowned all Ireland champs !!!
