RATE THE REVIEW, NOT THE HACK!
Hey there! I present you the first 2008 SMW review, hope you like it.
Yes, more reviews will come, no matter how many websites are down or how many hacks aren't released, I will still be there with reviews.
Oh, and I must admit that thanks to this hack my skills got improved considerably, such as spin rebouncing and calibrated jumping, yeah, it's easier than I expected.
So, let's start already!

"Pit of a 100 trials"...
Where did I heard that before?
Yes, this hack is supposed to be like those annoying 100 floors with-no-stop Paper Mario side-quests.
Lamentably, this games bases dramatically on that structure, what do I mean?
Simple, ALL the 100 levels are on ONLY ONE regular level, that means that you only have a limited time to clear them all, something impossible to a veteran or even expert player, personally, I find really hard only to reach the 4th level before time ran out; with that, we clearly see that this is one of those incredibly hard hacks.
"Yeah, but if this is meant to be a hard hack, why do you put a 5 on DIFFICULTY".
Well, first off, this isn't meant to be hard hack, so I don't put an N/A in there.
Next, the ambience selected for each world is correctly assembled, so the sprites are right, but on some levels, the sprites collide and the whole level is ruined, showing only half sprites or even screwed up ones.
Another unbelievable thing is the fact of that some pipes lead the player to dead ends (TEST levels or BONUS levels without end), that's something hard to believe because of this is a finished hack, and those never-ending places are in clearly visible pipes.
Now, the storyboard, this is one of the worst i have seen so far:
"Ugly red plumber finds an ugly green pipe, with a sign saying: Danger: pit of a 100 trials."
First off, the author wrote "Found" as "Fond", but that's okay, I don't review orthography, as there are several hackers around the world that aren't english native speakers (yeah, not even I am).
Now, some tracks simply don't fit the levels they are put on, you can't place a relax theme on a storm full of spikes and stuff, and put an athletic track on ice-underground levels.
The idea is good, but some decent overworld should be used, and more levels dots, not only one for the whole game. It's just as if you were on the 62nd floor and then you lose, you'll be sent back to the first.
So, it's basically obligatory to use savestates, and we all know that THAT isn't what we are looking for.
The name of the hack really calls your attention, but it clearly disappoints you after you die, so it bores you fast, lamentably, because of the design is great, but the gameplay is bad.
So, it isn't something i would recommend you, play anything else, but if you wish to try, nobody stops you, just be sure to use a savestate every 5 seconds.
That's it for today, relax, be happy, and have a great day.
Oh, and stay tuned!
Urm, that's no good sorry. +This to your review:
The pit of 100 trials should have the same music theme all the way through, the backgrounds and stage detail should always look identical in every level of the pit, making the pit a unique dungeon. Think of the cave of ordeals in zelda TP and pits in Paper Mario.
Neither should the pit have overworld levels. The difficulty should also be progressively difficult, with floors clearly numbered and rewards given on each 10th floor. You have to agree!

@agalar8895, sure, but we still must consider that mostly young programmers work on these hacks, you could ask such details on hacks like Odyssey, or Brutal Mario, where obviously a lot of fancy programming takes place.
I mainly focus on how fun the hacks actually are, and depending on the author and his/her previous works, I give a fair review that both encourages the hacker to improve his/her future works and the player to try (or not) the game.
But of course, you have good arguments, agreed
