Diablo II... nice! I feel like I'm walking in the maggot layer. Nice Heiny pot cooking!

Nope, it had enough flavor without the seasoning pack. all I added was some pepper and garlic salt.
I use "Bear Creek Cheddar Broccoli Soup Mix" as a universal seasoning packet for other meals though. That stuff is GREAT!

This is a great example of practical trail cooking. Lightweight food with protein and carbs for energy. I see so many videos where people are cooking some extravegant meal with ingredients that weigh down a pack. Dehydrating right takes practice but once you get it down, camping meals become light and cheaper than freeze dried. Good video.

Hey thanks for the response! Dehydrating is where it's at! especially cabbage, TOTALLY UNDERRATED!
If you know how to trap small game, I think you are pretty much set for survival (along with some rice, beans, and dehydrated cabbage)

Hey, thanks Dirk!
I haven't been out on the trails much this year, but I am looking forward to getting back out there! I'm growing a massive garden this year (full of obscurities) to save seeds and dehydrate for future use. Maybe I will make another "trail cooking" video...
