Most shoes that are low, comfortable and have a thin sole, are excellent for double bass. I prefer thin soles because it gives you the best connection with your pedals, while still having a bit more power than barefoot. It's still personal preference though, because there's are enough AWESOME barefoot drummers, AWESOME militaryboot drummers, and AWESOME Vans/Converse/wackass shoe- drummers :)

@corybiro i totally agree, fuck necrophagist, but it's also nice to pay your bills with your passion, and necrophagist is still tech enough for him to utilize his style without compromising too much (other than getting buried under constant sweeps...)
