Rule 3: Never misinterpret Stephen Moffat's statements. He does not lie, but his statements can be pretty deceiving. Fyi, he did not reset the universe, but he rewrote time by changing this fixed point. Not much was changed, except when he rewrote time, rather than going as himself, he was inside the teselecta, which disguised itself as him.

@TeDyBearWantsCuddles ginnovo is right, the doctor most likely saw himself in the god complex, if you listen the TARDIS paradox bell goes off. And it may support the theory that this doctor is a ganger, because if u notice during the god complex they take multiple shots of his feet, possibly a reference back to the rebel flesh in which the determine the doctors ganger using feet. Maybe the doctor(ganger) has this whole time been trying to figure out if he is a ganger, so the real doc is his fear

After having watched let's kill hitler, the girl who waited, and the god complex, certain bits in these episodes lead me to a theory

The person in the space suit is actually the doctor himself therefore he kills himself, and river song being the weapon is actually a red herring the doctors unseen enemies have manipulated things to lead the doctor to kill himself so he becomes the weapon against himself
