www.BlessThePets.com | More than 300 animals were blessed at the 10th annual "Interfaith Blessing of the Animals" at sunset on Oct. 1, 2011, on the concrete boat launch ramp at Granada Ave. in Belmont Shore, next to Rosie's Dog Beach. It's one of the largest blessings of pets in the world. The Blessing by Justin Rudd's nonprofit Community Action Team (CAT) which includes Haute Dogs. The event is always free to the public and their pets. Special guests included horses, ponies, an alpaca, goats, sheep, rabbits, and chickens. Seniors, families, singles, and children, were encouraged to bring their dogs, cats, birds, lizards, rabbits, pot-bellied pigs, fish, tortoises and turtles and other well-behaved pets.

First time attending the Long Beach Interfaith Blessing of the Animals although I have been a long time resident of Long Beach. This will definitely be a regularly attended event for me and my two beautiful dogs. Thank you to all who made this event possible again this year.
