it's because it wasn't based on the 1989 arcade original game of the same name

@trydowave Same again I disagree that Shinobi sounds better it sounds equally as good just different.

The first level music is very reminiscent of a film released around the same era "Big Trouble in Little China"

Of course what sounds better is entirely opinion.

I liked the composition of the Arcade music but it just sounds like you prefer the bass sounds of the home ports rather than the original.

@msimplay I respect your opinion but... The arcades sound is all plinkety ponkety . I'm not just a fan of Amiga mods, I absolutely love chip tunes. From the SID to the YM2151 (found in most of the arcades of that period). The original Shinobi uses the same chip as Shadow dancer but manages to sound a whole lot better? In the end it just comes down to what you as an individual prefer and I can’t argue with you about that.

@trydowave I disagree whole heartedly it's much worse than the Arcade. But even then that's beside the point Arcade ports should be faithful to the source material and the more faithful they are the better they are considered as you well know as an Amiga user Arcade perfection was the holy grail in those days.

The closer a game was to the Arcade original the better it was considered
