The date was January 26, 1980 at the Forum Lanes in Grand Prairie, Texas for the $100,000 Quaker State Open. At the time, Unheralded Hugh Miller, who had won only $1,500 in 19 previous PBA tournaments. After defeated Steve Cook in the semi-final, Miller now found himself up against top seed Tommy Kress bowling for the Championship, the $15,000 first prize and a spot in the Firestone Tournament of Champions. Let's go to Chris Schenkel and Bo Burton with the call.
