  • Had one between 1996-1998 so miss the hands on size of this unit. Splicing, changing the loop position and of course the effect unit . but don't miss the sequencing process:)

  • @24bit this was my unit in the video (i made the video) - i agree, i am unable to achieve the same loop/splice control in software-based FL Studio and such - but i never even attempted to sequence internal in the ASR - i created the loops and samples, then sequenced with the DOS version of Cakewalk from an Intel 286 PC.

  • That is a nice piece of equipment . I would like to get me one of those.

  • This one is for sale on eBay, posted 8/16/08 - search "ensoniq asr-10" - this is a nice one, most either have no SCSI or have been abused in live performance.

  • Hi guy ! Nice video and sound . I have my asr 10 next to me , make all kind of music since 2003 and all that save on floppydisks !!!!! I'm looking for a scsi card , have you got some contact to me ? Thanks

  • floppydisks are a tough way to go. I don't know a source, but at least watch ebay for one.

  • They need to make an updated version of the ASR 10 like a ASR 1000 or something

  • @KTOProductions

That's pretty much Kanye's main weapon of choice in the music biz

  • Do they all come with these stock sounds?

  • If only they made a modern version that had an updated interface & look, nicer keys, and used more modern storage like SD and CF cards and SATA (& SSD maybe) harddrives, and possibly a few other random new features, it would be a dream. Great piece of hardware though, too bad it uses SCSI.

  • please men, tell me if it have weight on the keys, and general midi to play midi sings by the disk, so thanks!

  • If you like this synth, find in youtube and listen to the records made by Gerald Becker, aka "Virtual Symmetry", from Eye Q Records. ALL his tracks are made using the ASR-10....And they're very well made!

  • i have an ASR-10 purple screen for sale in los angeles

  • Ahhh, good times, I remember watching this a while back thinking "wooooah, I'd love to own one of those beasts"... been a year since I bought my first one, and I STILL think "wow, I own an ASR-10!" every time I look at it. Ok, so it's old, but the design is plain scary, and it's just got a unique character I've never seen with any other keyboard/synth I've owned.
