WW2 was won with American money, British Intelligence and Soviet blood! So we can just ignore all the Poles, Dutch, French, Indians, Australians, Canadians, New Zealanders, Irish, Norwegian, Greek, and any others our esteemed American friends choose to ignore! Right! The song is an excellent piece of music sung by a very good choir! That's what matters!

Yes I am aware we were paid back for the supplies, which we are grateful for. I never denied that, nor being in control of the bases.

Wrong Takekaze50! The Germans never contemplated invasion after they lost the Battle of Britain! Once we won that, we were safe from German ideas of conquest! By the middle of 1941, we were more than ready to repel any attempts by the Germans or any of their allies, including the Japanese! And these silly little Brits defeated the Germans several times before the US came along, and the Japs in Burma without US help! Get it up ya!

Wrong on one point; we signed the lend-lease agreement with the US, they got our military bases in the Pacific, we got the materials we needed to stop the Germans! We spent 60 years paying back what we were given by the US during the war! We only got manpower after December 1941! And you still have control of the bases we gave up, though I've forgotten which ones they were!
