That is true! After some more researching yesterday, I came to the conclusion that the tracks have high similarities in between. However it's a bit puzzling, due to the fact that the composers and game developers are not the same. Nor are there any known (not to my knowledge at'least) co-operations between either of them for the two different game series.

@InfernalSquirrel It's also the castle theme from super mario world. Same melody. In fact the entire song is pretty much the super mario world castle theme.

In fact it's "Vanquish the Horrible Night" from Castlevania 2 / 3, not Mario ^^
You'll notice this specifically, if you tune in at about 1:40-3:01.
