Unless you are breaching the peace the cops can't just walk up on someone and ask for their papers. Have you read the law? It absolutely does not give the police in Arizona any powers the federal government didn't already have. Illegal immigration is sinking Arizona's economy and it has to be stopped.

hey I'll even take it a step further. if you are carrying a gun which is now something anyone can do. If you don't have all your papers or whatever, the cops will most likely confiscate your gun. Like oh sorry guy, go home and get yourself another gun and next time be sure and have all your papers with you.
