This is a possibly useful but likely fun effect that can be customised. I've wanted a pop-up bubble effect and I think I kinda got what I want.

Grab my pop sound here:

Enjoy!

  • lol technically/scientifically its a oval/ellipse

    a squashed circle:)

  • @frvfilms

Well, it started out as a circle! LOL!

  • Cool... wonder if there's a way to do that with Shapewipe in Cinelerra...

  • @vaasnaad

If there is not there probably will be soon. That editor is still evolving. Maybe when Lumiera launches.

  • lol, we use the same theme!

  • thanks bro for foss activities

  • LOL very nice tutorial! Helped me so much! Can you make a tutorial on how to do the intrtos/outros you have? thanks!

  • @vaasnaad

    Just use the masking tool.

  • That was cool. I have a video GTKrecordmydesktop video ahowing my settings in Ubuntu 10.10. But finding the right codec to use here is a challenge. I am still such a newbie. I even transferred it to AVI using a Windows program, then made a video of it in Movie Maker. Still no go. You Tube won't take it, but won't say why. It kept saying "Upload Failed".

I've tried FFMPEG and PTivi because they worked in older versions but not the new. Still thinking about what to do.

  • laughed at "Its a circle!" lol

  • @arthursucks its similar to the rotation of earth around the sun, we think its a perfect circle, but its an elipse (squashed circle)

  • When I added the wipes to Composite, I had not intended it to be used for mattes. That is one of the most fun things about the developer/user relationship. I think the primary use case of this is to transition in and out the overlay. You can use opacity and the keyframes to easily add a fade in or out. Then, instead of a fade, you can just select a wipe, and it simply follows the opacity as well.

  • Cheers for these video's man, I never would have discovered Kdenlive if it hadn't been for them. Now if I could just get it working on my Ubuntu 10.10 install... :D

  • kdenlive is miles behind cinelerra in masking...but with the maverick repositories delayed.... and after so much trying i still couldnt get cinelerra to work on ubuntu... i am stuck with kdenlive... i've got a lot of tutorials and cool videos delayed coz of that...any idea on how to get to work on maverick ??
