Anime - Himiko Den OP : Pure Snow

One of my favourite anime OP.
OP song is "Pure Snow" performed by Yuuko Sasaki.
Think the Manga Artist "Oh!Great" is also partly involved in the character design of the anime.

This anime is horrible yet "Pure Snow" and the ending theme "Change the Color of the Moment" are some of the best vocal and instrumental songs that I've EVER heard for an anime. They play on my I-Pod daily :) A bit ironic really...

@nelsonta00 i agreed with the fact that you like old anime because i like them too. i know that it's dissapointing for fans like us to see the changes in anime today because most anime nowadays are not dark, bloody, violent and epic like the old ones. also, most anime nowadays aren't really using the japanese traditional styles anymore like dedicated songs, etc. however, i respect all kinds of anime.

@Exorcistkanda Himiko Den, whether game first or anime first, is a 'boy-version' rip off of Fushigi Yuugi(1992) with poor animation.

@nelsonta00 Then let me edit my comment, do you think an anime that is suppose to be released as a game first but somehow got the anime first and all of the franchise, the game,anime and manga begin release altogether at the early 1999 would be that good?

@Exorcistkanda Also, quite a number of great animes in the 2000 were from mangas made in the 90s like One Piece and Naruto.

@Exorcistkanda What? Anime rose in quality in the 80s and at its peak in the 90s. Akira, Berserk, Dragon Ball and Z, Fushigi Yuugi, 3x3 Eyes, Ghost in the Shell, Detective Kindaichi, Ranma, Tenchi Muyo, Evangelion, Voltron, Ninja Scroll, Robotech/Macross, many of Ghibli's best animes and so on are the forefathers of many other animes in the 2000. There's very few great animes in the 2000+ that stand as original.

@Medowin Was it? I thought Himiko Den was horrible. I had a better time watching Fushigi Yuugi than I did watching this anime.

@Exorcistkanda What? Quality anime rose in the 80s and was at its peak in the 90s. DB/Z, Sailor Moon, 3x3 eyes, Akira, Ranma, Ghost in the Shell, Berserk, Record of Lodoss War, Fushigi Yuugi, Evangelion, others and many of Ghibli's best animes were all created in the 80s and 90s. Comparing the 80s and 90s animes, many animes in the 2000s are garbage.

This opening is so misleading to the actual anime itself. Great opening, terrible anime.

I always really liked 00:25 , i always loved this theme song, i watched this anime as a kid and i liked it, and i dont want to go back to it cause i like remembering it as a good anime through nostalga goggles XD
