i like teamviewer better it lets you transfer files and send messeges and have video chat all with the the two computers also you can save the connection just like this video so that with one click you can connect or you can change the settings to let you automaticaly sign in and you can just click connect. i love it. and if you connected to another computer it will show exactly everything your doing on the computer that your connected with.and its totaly FREE

It's unfortunate that you showed a very simple Remote Desktop to a computer on your network. It gets more complicated (which is why you should have showed it vs the simple local network option) with External & machine internal IP through a router.

@xerland3 - AFAIK it won't allow you to copy files over to the remote client computer. The client can see NOTHING. It will literally log out the user if they happen to be logged in at the time.
So from your computer if you take over (remote desktop) into a client PC; that user will be staring at either a screen saver or the log in screen that says blah blah blah remote desktop.
The client pc (user) won't see any changes until done. You might want 2 try Windows Remote Assistance instead.

@ovidiudragusoiu ...or Windows (Desktop Assistance) will allow both of you to see and chat back & forth. Even talk if you have spkrs and a microphone attached. Great for helping someone fix something where they can allow you to take control of their machine. HUGE TIME SAVER and 1/10th of the frustration of trying to explain it over the phone
hey,
when you're running the remote desktop, what happens on the other PC?
things are moving too?
thanks!
