  • I saw 757 in this video!!! she is now at strausburg Pennsylvania!

  • Lima Superpower at it's finest, cadillac's of the Iron Horse

  • Those Berks are beautiful pieces of machinery

  • At 3:08, pause the frame. Look closely, you will see #765 on the cab, and man was she booking! Also at 3:29 pulling freight is #765. The next shot with #765. At 5:54, pause it, read under the headlight. Lima's last engine #779 hauling freight fast!

  • They are treated like a nussince today, and chased off due to most of the crossings being on privete property or close to it and you are chased off or given a ticket, though most of the guys of the 765 today with the exception of a few are more then open about the ins and outs of running the steam locomotive, its one of only five that can do mainline service excursions and takes about 8000 dollers just to get going for an excursion when the do a run at the open house last weekend october 2011

  • WOW! Look at those Berks.Man, its so sad the nonsense that all these NEW & Modern advances have lead to better railroading. We all know its a lie. Speed IS DOWN, Tonnage IS DOWN, Capacity IS DOWN, Equipment cost & maintenance IS UP, Schedule times ARE UP. Passenger times are similar to turn of the century (1899). Track condition is down.Amtrack is restricted to 45mph or less in about 70% of its territory.Modern my ass,OLD SCHOOL WAS RAILROADING PERIOD.They need to learn from those guys.

  • That was some serious stacktalk at the beginning of this clip! Thanks for posting this.

  • R.I.P Donald J.Krofta We All Miss You.

  • WOW, this is great stuff. And most of it in color too! Thanks for the post.

Notice how friendly most of the NKP crewmen were to the railfan photographer. You sure don't see much of that trackside these days.

  • Will it be released in europe via SPV?

    I would be very interested.

    :)
