Thank-you , for giving so right Information !!! Very few people know it .. It has been wonderful to see it posted here .Thank-you !! Also , the train , was the main mode of transferring the Ore from Cyprus Anvil Mine in Faro Yukon , via WhitePass Trucking , to Whitehorse & then loaded onto the Train for Skagway & aboard Ships , that took it all over the World.. This Train on her narrow gauge was a very important part of the North !!! .. Thanks for reminding :)

One of the engineering marvels of the world, in the same ranking with the Eiffel Tower. This is the little train that could; in 1955, the then president of the railroad, Frank Brown, and his think tank, developed the concept of "unitized freight" known today as the shipping container. So look at powerpointpete's video one more time and realize you're looking at the thing that changed the course of history of the entire earth. Back from bankruptcy in WW2 to ship uranium for the atomic bomb.
