Hey Al, how many Dead Hang Pull-ups (like you did in the video) can you do, and how many can you do that are like your brother did? Just curious on the difference, because the other form looks "fine" as you said. Thanks. "We're working out!" makes me laugh so much lol.

@pnutbutrncrackers make sure your using a good grip where your not pinching the skin of your hand with the bar. calluses will always build up to protect your hands and you can remove them safely for aesthetics purposes. or just leave them if you don't care

@kosteaproduction No doubt. Danny is hardcore! (But he's a good law-abiding citizen!)

Your brother looks like a real gangsta :)

Al, I notice that neither of you wear any type of gloves. So what's the deal about blisters or calluses? How long does it usually take for one's hands to toughen up sufficiently for that to no longer be an issue? Thanks.

@pnutbutrncrackers I did a blog post about this topic. Do a google search for "Al Kavadlo workout gloves" and it should be easy to find.

@alkavadlo Found & read the blog post -- thanks. May I venture one more question in connection w/the above video? A former special ops guy I know (in fabulous shape, as are you) claims that true dead hang pull-ups - as opposed to nearly dead hang - are actually not good/smart to do (though he can do several). You've probably heard this, and I would appreciate reading your thoughts. Not taking his side, I'm just asking. Thanks.

@pnutbutrncrackers Yeah I've heard people say that before, but I haven't had any issues from doing deadhang pull-ups.
