I used to use an Rwo telescopic extension, 70-122cm, it's the perfect length for me. I find it easier to sheet the main off the boom, and now use a fixed extension of 122cm, and make sure I through it through before the mainsheet on tacks/gybes. This boat is great fun, fairly stable and planes well. If you have brought one and are uk based, please join the class or facebook/yahoo group, we are short of members. This is a great video. I am looking to get a laser 2 for next summer. How long is your tiller extention, is it one of those extendable ones.
