We've met Odean Pope in episodes 12 and 19, but here we feature his Saxophone Choir, fresh from a recent weeklong stint at the Blue Note in NYC. The Philly comprised band is killin' as usual and this episode features a cameo by Amiri Baraka and a nice solo from Christian McBride's father Lee Smith. Some of the finest jazz anywhere, Philly born and bred.

  • What a great series of short videos celebrating Philly's RICH local and worldwide-reaching jazz historical legacy!! As a native of Detroit (which has its own embattled jazz history), I have the highest respect and admiration for Philly's rich musical heritage...especially that of jazz music. Thank you for sharing!!
