On this episode of Master Pairings I have John Holzer from New Brew Thursday on the show, and we do one of my favorite beers, and beer styles Trappist Westmalle Tripel

How many turns are in a cage on a corked beer? What's the best way to open a crown & corked beer?

We answer these questions and I pair it with an amazing pesto sauce with noodles topped off with Parmessan Reggiano. I also bring in a fabulous Brie and a Camembert Cheese a Triple Creme Brie, and a Camembert Cheese.

Have you tried this pairing? How'd you like it? What have you paired with these beers? Leave a comment and let me know.

  • Fantastic beer, one of my stand by's to have in the cellar. And the pasta looked amazing too! Great info about the 6 turns of the crown, had no idea there was a set number.
