  • @MakingCoolVideos it's a remix of the halloween theme song from the movie halloween

  • when shamu jumps..anybody know what song they play?!

  • i think that if u want to see whales go whale watching. captivity is promoting their "natural deaths" and the "tricks" are natural but they do it to survive like beaching themselves. i am subscribing to u.

  • 30 years of federal documents pertaining to marine animals and found that nearly 4,000 sea lions, seals, dolphins, and whales have died in captivity, and of the 2,400 cases in which a cause of death was listed, one in five animals died of uniquely human hazards or seemingly avoidable causes. Sun-Sentinel 2004

  • Twenty-two orcas have died at SeaWorld parks since 1985:

four were young calves, and the others were in their teens and

twenties. To date, less than 20 orcas are known to have survived

more than 20 years in captivity, and only two have survived

in captivity for more than 35 years. Naomi A. Rose-PhD-2009

  • As of January 2008, a total of 44 orcas (15 wild-caught and 29 captive-born calves) are held in 12 marine parks in six different countries. At least 136 orcas (killer whales) have been taken into captivity from the wild since 1961. One hundred and twenty (120) are now dead (88%). (An additional male escaped after 2.5 years in captivity. His fate is unknown. Most captives die before they reach their early 20s, yet in the wild, females may live as long as 80 years or more. -WDCS
