This week on Hawaiian Grown Kitchen, Executive Chef Grant Kawasaki gets authentic with Hawaii's Best Little Mexican Restaurant, Cholo's Homestyle Mexican Food. Manager Mark and Chef Lyle share some of the secret recipes that make Cholo's a local favorite amongst the North Shore community.

    1 a cholo is a degradative name for a mexican -american person.

    2 Real Mexican food is not cook like that ! because they dont use CAZUELAS !! casuelas are made from clay

  • Mexicans rarely use olives...bwahahahaha! wanna bes...fake mexican foods like taco bell...they should stick to hamburgers, hotdogs & slurpies...oh yeah i forgot...coke with corn syrup ...bwahahaha...those beans looked canned...and mexicans cook their meats together with the veggies to gather flavor...bwahahaha YOU WISH! EPIC FAIL! Next time ask Amigos Authentic Mexican Foods from Maui for an interview not these clowns.

  • That was not mexican rice . That was spanish rice , it was more rounded . Mexican arose is long grain cooked with tomato paste/sauce . Its more fluffyer . Some people put a little onion and peas in their rice when prepairing it .
