@RoboSlater Yeah and they can't provide them with even a VHS copy of the movie. Instead the student has to watch it on youtube.

The fact that a college would invite a paper to be written by a student about a movie as part of its curricula shows just what a waste of $35,000-$80,000 tuiton per year most colleges and universities are. And how gullible people to enroll in them. Try a 2-year college first, don't major in gender studies or jigsaw puzzles or comic books or diversity, get a real education to get a real job. Most universities are just cesspools of leftwing indoctrination anyway.

@mintychutney the book captures a more in depth character study. regina doesn't just play a video game, she escapes into an alternate reality, which just conditions her to immediately accept the fate of the world upon her realizing the "real" reality. it is all in the book. i hope they don't quiz you on this as such nuances are missed in the movie, overshadowed by the pop culture that made this country great: sex, drugs, violence, and rock-n-roll.
