  • I just went to solar-stove net and the Home page has no active links and the Products tab takes you to a page in what appears to be latin-based language. Again, no way to PURCHASE anything.. If you have a way to contact him, you might tell him about it.

  • @jeffery19677 I have already notified him.

  • @jeffery19677 try solaroven, you know what goes here, org

  • I have owned a SOS Sport Solar oven for years and used it many many times. Here are some tips to improve it: Paint the interior flat black with hi-temp paint (and paint your pots & lids hi-temp flat black also) to increase light/heat absorption (raises the temp & reduces cooking time). Do not use the reflectors during summer, you won't need them. Consider drilling a small hole on the bottom tip for moisture drainage. Add a Stovetec and a thermal cooker pot for day/night use. I hope this helps.

  • @SororThothma Yes, very helpful, and I will post! Thank you!

  • DANG! gettinready`101 is jealous! He is wondering if you'll trade it for a 1 year old gettinready101 country ham? It's salt cured, hand rubbed, hung with love, last 1 of 23, comes with it's own salt, ready to go! Actually it's the front shoulder which makes it a picnic ham. And salt cured hams are not for everyone but i'll throw in some Sweet tea to sweeten the pot! Don't ever tell the wife I traded or I'll be salted and hung myself!

  • @gettinready101 I will give it some serious thought!... Uh.. NO! LOL

They are called Thermal Cookers (super insulated pot cooking systems). I have a cheap one I got off Ebay which works really well. I painted the exterior of the pot hi-temp flat black. It fits nicely atop my Stovetec. I heat it to boiling for a few minutes, place it into its insulator and Vola! Hot food or water or whatever for several hours. Nice to have hot stew or hot water without firing up the Stovetec in the middle of the night.

  • @stayingawake20 I didn't think you would go for it.

  • God Bless ya for keeping me reminded I need to buy one of these (or a few) for our family. We've been saving up for our bigger preps lately.
