I remember Shamokin when I was a little girl (1960s) going to town on friday nights and Independence Street would be so busy and bustling with people. When I occasionally drive through Shamokin now, it is so forlorn it just breaks my heart. I wish I could go back in time just for a day and remember Shamokin the way it used to be, and hear good old Tom Kutza on WISL!
