His CD of the concertoes by Camille Saint-Saens, Robert Schumann and the "Variations on a Rococo Theme" by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky was nominated by the Paris magazine "Repertoire" with the highest ratings and with superlatives such as "his art has always excited both audience and the critics alike and this common view places the violoncellist alongside such names as Janos Starker and Andre Navarra".
Indeed a recent CD release by the Canadian Label "St.Clair" - Classics Collection "Forever Gold" -- features Anatoli Krastev as soloist in Dvoraks Cello Concerto alongside Andre Navarra's recording of the Elgar.
