Lastly, One of the reasons God delivered the children of Israel from Egypt is that Pharaoh made them work 7 days a week when they begged him for 1 day off ( the sabbath ) to worship God. They said they would work twice as hard the next day. Pharaoh refused and made their work even harder. God is the same always. If he did away with the Sabbath Pharaoh could say no fair! The Roman Empire changed the Sabbath to Sunday to unite the church with pagan sun god worship.

If it's work that is for profit and unnecessary work then you shouldn't do it on the Sabbath. If your boss tells you to come to work on the Sabbath you should kindly refuse and not work that day. If my grass needs cutting or my side walk needs shoveling, it should be done after the Sabbath, all meals should be prepared so one doesn't have to cook on the sabbath. So again, one is refraining from any work that isn't necessary and spending that one day thinking of God.

The Sabbath was made for man so that man would remember and honor his creator. God can do whatever he wants to do cause he is God. However, even God does not break the Sabbath. Remember if its good work it's fine. That is to say, if it is work that helps others ( healing the sick, spreading the gospel, visiting the shut in, feeding the hungry) nothing wrong with that. I

But your right Jesus is like his father cause he does all that God requires of him and asks and God has given him the keys to the kingdom cause he is his faithful son. The Son of the King is by right the King

What would be wrong to do on the Sabbath is to play baseball, golf , trade money, buy , sell ( unless you are giving a church donation to do good) do normal work. Jesus never ever did away with the Sabbath. You can't find a verse that will ever prove that. Only Sabbath that Jesus got rid of through his death were Sabbath holidays that came once a year and sacrifices because he was the sacrifice, but not the weekly Sabbath. Jesus rose on sunday because he didn't want to rise on the Sabbath.

@Dwrancho144 Jesus never broke the Sabbath. The religious leaders at the time had made so many crazy rules that if you do anything you were likely to be accused of breaking the Sabbath. The Sabbath is supposed to be holy, but it's perfectly fine to do good on the Sabbath ( visit and help the sick, help the elderly, visit those in prison, help sick animals etc.)

John 5:18 says "Jesus not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God."
