@slikkback Definitely. GSP and English Pointers in general are very much so that type of dog. They need a lot of exercise though.

My boyfriend and I are looking to adopt a puppy but we were undecided on the right breed for us. I think we've settled on GSP because of it's friendly and family oriented temprement but it's still active and outgoing. We want a dog we can hike around with, head to the lake and walk along the trail...just to take everywhere with us for some good outings. Do you think this dog might fit the profile? It's either a GSP or a goldern retriever LOL

Have fun with your new puppy. Make sure you give it a lot of exercise every day, that will make it easier to train .

The puppies in that litter all have homes. One lives down the street from me so he gets to come over to play with his family. I won't be breeding her till next month, so I might have a litter in June.

She had to be taken to the hospital where she was hooked up to an IV. Things looked good. The next morning she didn't wake up, and Lucy was dead. That was this morning... I loved her so much.

I am so sorry for your loss. That had to be so difficult losing a puppy like that. My dogs go hunting all the time, and I always worry that they will get hurt. I have raised 5 litters of puppies and only lost one tiny puppy and that was hard, but your brother's case was so much worse since they were already bonding with her. I still have one puppy that I am getting attached to, but he has to go to a good hunting home. I hope your brother gets a new puppy. Take care.
