@vasypher Canon 5DMKII, very nice pro-level camera as I expected but you remind me it's all about the lens and the sensor on these DSLR's. I'm a fan of shoot and go's but I'm gonna have to give in eventually to a DSLR, maybe I could push my budget to a D50 if I don't buy any pipes this year! But you've given me a good steer I don't really need a camcorder, I do need a good DSLR.

@bahumutx Ya I might have to get a face mask or something for it...it's gettin' real bad!!! Actually the Chocolate Bock was one of my favs, but so far the Fezziwig Ale is the best imho. I've yet to try them all...but I'll definitely be gettin' to that REAL soon...hehe.

@astroman2112 Ya man, nothin' like diffused light, and the rain really seems to increase the saturation in the environment all around also. All my Stanwell pipes have been great smokers so far, I'm always on the lookout for more, I think you're gonna love 'em. I found the lighter at a local tobacconist. Doesn't really have a brand, and it looks very cheaply made, but so far it's lighting on every try with or without wind, which is nice.

@OneManSmoke Thanks man!! I really dig that pipe, and the camera is always fun to shoot with. Looks like the rain is here to stay whether I like it or not...hehe. Kinda cool to be holed up for a bit and warm.

for sure you're a photographer...."oh really nice light there" as your strike up the lighter. I love the lighting on you camcorder. I shot mine with my canon G9, real bad in low light situations.

@dubinthedam The Canon still photography camera I use for these videos takes 35mm photo lenses I have, and they work amazingly well in low light. They also allow for a very nice skin tone.

@vasypher Thought it might be a DSLR, which one? I'm very impressed with the light and video quality for a SLR.....it that because of the lens quality also?
I'm on the look-out for a good camcorder that won't break the bank, under the $500 mark. Any tips?

@dubinthedam I use the Canon 5DMKII. Definitely has allot to do with the lenses and sensor size of the camera.
Unfortunately I haven't researched too many cameras under $500. You may be able to find a still camera with interchangeable lenses that shoots video. That's the kind of look I like. You may want to confirm whether you get auto focus features or not. I don't have it on mine, but I wouldn't use it anyway.
Hope this helps,
