From: http://www.youtube.com/user/jordanaus75 A question about knee pain: I used to do lunges of 300lbs+, but I developed knee pain inside the knee of the rear leg (either one but more my left), so I had to stop lunges. But pain continued when i did squats so stopped that too. However get pain still if I go into kneeling poistion (before knee rests on ground) or if I do weighted leg press with weight on toes. However no pain if i bend the knee normally. Now knees are very weak. Any suggestions as to what it is and what i can do? Thanks

  • hey man, your little girl is a really cute.

  • I've knee problems myself, I found a mixture of swimming and stretches helped. Onto the crosstrainer now as it's low impact, to strengthen the muscles.

I also take glucosamine and EPA (fish oil) supplements everyday, this helps replenish the cartilage and keep things lubricated.

A mixture of these things has made a huge difference for me.

  • Hey im in football and my coach always tells us to get low but when i get to low my knees really ache same when i do lunges or squat

  • Answer: Go to a physical therapist and have them perform ROM, ligamentous and manual resistive testing, then you can gauge what is likely going on.

  • cheers for the tips. I recently injured my left knee on the outside whilst doing lunges with only 10s, took almost a week to heal as well.

  • My knee pain is on the inside toward the front. I can feel it from the outside. It began after horseback riding on a greenback horse. I had to stand in the saddle a lot. That was over 8-years ago.

  • that little girl is soo cute:D

  • Thanks for your reply video, massagenerd. I will give those stretches a go. I perhaps thought I could have damaged the cartlidge in the knee with all the years of weight training, but you do not suggest that possibility? Thanks again!

  • look naming muscles isnt gonna help you need to do really light weight knee extensions and knee flexion bassically imitating the movement but not using heavy weight untill pain subsides. and try resisted stretching but just untilll point of pain and hold till pain subsides....
