Annually in Goa at the end of Autumn, on the occasion of Immaculate Season Diwali, narakchaturdashi is celebrated just the night before Diwali. This night all bad, evils, sins are burned in form narkasur's effigy. This effigy is carried all over village from house to house moving singing songs, playing drums and dancing along with narkasur. Until its final destination where it is burnt as it manifests joy of victory over evil marking the Diwali celebrations.
