GTA 4 on an ATI mobility 5470

Ok, first upload of many! The esteemed GTA 4 running on a LAPTOP Gpu, the performance was to be expected, to play with 20+ FPS I needed to drop the Res to low with everything else on medium, Fraps then dropped the FPS by about 5.

@SuperProgamer01 That's how it lags. Not sure how I fixed it, but it went away, make sure you have useless stuff like Shadows and view distance as low as you can (Large improvement on FPS whilst sacrificing as little as you can) If you drop everything to lowest, it should go away, if it doesn't, it's probably a problem with the physics engine, check PhysX (If you need it, havent played in ages) and DirectX are installed correctly, or reinstall the whole game and hope for the best. I have this card with a intel P6100, 3 GB ram ddr3. I play it on 1200x768, all medium(shadows low), and i get also 22+FPS BUT if i change shadows to medium... it gets a bit slower >_> Probably because 1200x is a bit high(i can also play on 1366x768)

Wich res. are you playing on? 800x? and are you using the command line? I am not. Last question, did you made any kind of overclock? I dint.

@halfamaster Yeah, it was 800x600. I didn't overclock at all, ATI flatly refuses to let me.

I traded my laptop for a P6200, 5650 1gb, 3gb ram. And i can overclock the graphic card :O I found a software for ATI/AMD cards. Called : " AMD GPU CLOCK TOOL" :)
I will post this weekend a video of a game <3

Yeah, I'm getting ready for an upgrade, going to build my first PC, HD6850, AMD 6 core @ 3.3, 4Gb DDR3 etc. Should be sick
