Tweaking on the SH-32. I had to put this up, because no one ever posted a video about SH-32. This video is way too old, I didn't know much about the box then. It's such a nice compact module. I'm no musician, so please don't waste your breath telling me how badly I suck :P For tracks made with this module later on, visit http://www.myspace.com/interstellaroscillations
It's also linked at www.vintagesynth.com :)

  • Excellent

  • @musicroman Thank you :)

  • does it do drums like the tr series?

  • @Cockoblock As far as I know, the drums kits are 808 and 909 clones. Editing the drums may be a bit different.

  • Looking at the interface (front panel) I can only expect that this must be one of the most intuitive synths ever. (I mean for such a little box)

The only thing I wonder is, can you split the available parts into different midi channels ? Is there keyboard-split functionality ?

  • @Keybern Yes, you can have a different MIDI channel for each part. I'm not sure about keyboard splitting though.

You can look it up in the manual at Roland's web site :)

  • pillpilferer: I just had a look at your other contributions to YouTube comments and it appears that they are all illiterate. Also present is a strange obsession with calling people homophobic names, which says much more about your own psychological position than it does about theirs.

  • It's hard to believe that 'DiskinbobulatorATX' has ever touched the SH-32. It has a very solid build. The case is made of metal, not plastic. It's not got the most intuitive of interfaces but it's absolutely nothing like a plastic Casio as the poster claims.

  • Finally somebody itsactually using the fuckin midi...

  • @virsynth I don't have an iPad, and I prefer knobs and sliders to a piece of glass. I'm sorry, but your video ain't that impressive, either :|

  • Very cool synth!

  • Great underrated synth, but is a bit unruly. It's difficult to make fine adjustments because the sliders and knobs are a bit jumpy. But the sounds are amazing, and the filter has a huge sound that is unlike any synths I've heard.

People say it's the same engine as the jp8000 but I don't think that is accurate.
