Na ja... Irgendwie siehts genau SO aus, wies eigentlich immer aussieht. Ich seh da keinen Unterschied zwischen der normalen und dieser Version.

Die Schatten, die Spiegelungen, die Lichter etc.

Les dir mal paar Berichte über "RayTracing" durch ;)

jo, geb dir da voll und ganz Recht. Is zwar schön dass die Spiegelungen usw. akkurat und physikalisch korrekt dargestellt werden, aber die Grafik an sich sieht imho genauso aus.

That's kinda interesting, but you can see how this type of lighting isn't suitable for the textures - it seems all the normal and specular mapping is killed.

This is not raytracing, for those who really know what it is. It's impossible nowadays to do realtime rendering with raytracing. Even if it was, they don't take advantage of the technique.

You are very wrong. Realtime ray tracing is very much real. Look at the other youtube videos.

Putting some restrictions to the algorithm it can be done. Sure it is possible and it can be seen on the reflective surfaces. Of course you have to run it on a powerful machine and do not expect to have a lot of fps.

this is nothing compared to what raytracing can do
the q4 textures/materials arent made for it and therefore it looks way to bright and still very unrealistic
