@Strawberryjam1916 It's a "unique" building, but I hate the downtown library. It's all concrete, steel, and glass. I feel like I should be wearing an orange jumpsuit with shackles around my ankles and holding a lunch tray. The odd-shaped windows give me vertigo. Libraries should be carpeted, with wooden desks and those reading lamps with the green shades. The old library was ugly, but it was conducive to reading. It was like hanging out in the living room on the Roseanne show.
@hugeF1 The Central Downtown Library is an incredible work of modern art and is never very crowded. Not with tourists, anyway. Alkai Beach is popular, but it is the only sandy beach in Washington (or so it seems). Freemont (the center of the universe) has the troll, but it also has one of the most unique communities in the city, and great food (Roxy's diner is a good place to start). Greenlake park is crowded but a great walk. On a nice day it is really crowded, but it has a wonderful atmosphere
Stunning video, and lovely music. However my only comment is that it would have been nice if it said where and what these places were. I'm coming over in Sept from the UK, and I'm just trying to find the not so touristy places to visit. (If anyone's able to help me out, I'd be very grateful :P)
