Several fire trucks blasted through downtown Edmonton along Jasper Ave, hauling it through red lights and speeding through traffic. I managed to capture one of these fire engines from my vantage point.

  • not 2 many yellow rigs left in eddmonton:(

  • @9751asd I noticed that as well. The Edmonton Fire Department has switched all its new units to the traditional red engines with new style LED strobes. The old yellow engines have old style incandescent bulb cherry lights.

  • @Davemeister22 I also noticed that there is a new siren on maybe a few engines. I really don't like the noise of it.The engine that I know of belongs to ladder house 1 across from the Downtown cop shop. I was sitting watching TV and for about 2 or 3 minutes all I could hear was this old school fire engine siren and I live on the 3rd floor on an apartment. I know they changed the siren because cars today are starting to become sound proof.
