New Zealand Maori soprano Marie Te Hapuku in recital at St. Andrew's on the Terrace in Wellington, New Zealand with accompanist Bruce Greenfield. Singing "i carry your heart" by John Duke, text by e.e. cummings http://maorisoprano.com
sounds lovely. however, as they were sung, those are not the lyrics of this song. normally i wouldn't harp on such a thing, but this song is actually an ee cummings poem set to music, and a fantastic poem at that.
Thank you for posting this. Wonderful job! I have sung this one myself and it is one of my absolute favorites. The poem is also beautiful. I wish I had known the song before I was married, I would've sung it for my husband. Love it!
this has to be my favorite interpretation of this song i've heard so far. :) beautiful.
