Just finished this. I can safely say that this Zelda game is my second favorite game in the series, just barely behind Majora's Mask. The stuff that they did for this game, a lot of things they did SO right. It was totally a fresh experience.
Ghirahim is awesome, Groose grew on me quite fairly, but not as much as he did for you, and I've now ended up disliking Fi almost as much as you, but mainly for being a bleh Captain Obvious late in the game.

@Omegakiller446 I kind of expected her to be like that. For some reason, I like the computer-speak. I think part of the reason I like her is that her hints actually helped me at parts. Namely, the first boss fight where I didn't know how to counter him during the second part.
Guinea pigs DO make noises and squeaks. It sounds more like a squeal from their namesake, but they do make them.

I just started the second dungeon, for perspective.
I actually like Fi. She isn't my favorite helper, but I found her to be better than Navi, and I didn't hate Navi. Admittedly, the fact that I didn't know her name until this video doesn't vouch much for her memorability, but I can't say I hate her.
I'm loving Skyward Sword so far, especially the difficulty and story. The only complaint I have is with the dowsing system. Fucking Earth Temple keys...

@mousefire777 Well I can tell you right now that what Fi is at the point where you are right now, is what Fi is going to remain for the rest of the game. I didn't hate the fairies either, but I still like them over Fi. They still had more personality than Fi, thats the sad part.
Glad you're liking it though. Also a guinea pig isn't the same! They have to make the noises and the squeeks or its just not as good!
