@camilo19201920 Yea bro you Probably Have A Governor, Which Usually On most Cars Is set to 120-130 Mph For Safety reasons. You Can get those removed it isn't Computerized which I doubt on a 97 it would be an electronic one...Look it up bro.

i have 97 lt1..its weird for the reason once i hit 120 my car wont allow me to go any further do you know any reason why???

@ASCmustang88 93-96 practically identical, THEN came the big change.... 97-2002 were also practically identical

@fmaznicki interior conversion? 97 has the same interior as LS1 cars and is an LT1, interior does not = engine, sounds nice tho fmaznicki!

@Peteomas that or its a 97 like mine, in 97 the interior changed to digital tachometer, and the dash was re defined,as well as the seats, etc. 97 was the last year of the lt1.
