@SanDiegoHospice My youngest daughter (16) helps with the special needs kids at her school so things like this really interest us. She is talking about either being a special needs teacher or this kind of work. Keep up the good work!!

I do volunteer work at the Palo Alto VAMC. In addition to working with paralyzed veterans, I also meet some of our veteran patients in the Hospice Ward. Very intense to say the least. One of the family members asked me why I do what I do. I told her it is part of the soldier creed that you never leave a fallen soldier behind. As a retired soldier, I do what I can for these troops.
