She makes it look and sound so easy. Her delivery is simple, unaffected, touching and heartfelt. Her tone is so beautiful. What a talent she was. And, as I have posted, her performance on Broadway in FOLLIES remains one of the greatest and most powerful I've seen on any stage.

★★★★★ Yes 5 stars for this "Golden Oldie" from the 'baby boomer' generation when this tune was listened to on the old analog radio. Glad to see this GR8 tune making the rounds now in the digital revolution. Memories of the "Hit Parade" abound~!

Actually, this was telecast on December 17, 1955; the song was constantly in the "Top Ten" during the last three months of '55, and this was staged numerous times during that period, with different vocalists in different settings [Gisele MacKenzie delivered a tongue-in-cheek version while simmering in a cannibal's pot!]. MIlton C. Herman, a prominent New York furrier, got a "plug" here, as did RCA Victor (note the radio Dorothy displays at 1:59).
