Episode Five:
•Defending Faith

Featuring panelists from the Catholic University's school of Moral Theology and Religious Studies.

This eight-part series explores the challenges and blessings of The Compendium to the Catechism of the Catholic Church through the life, works, and Christian example of the Order of Malta, one of the most ancient lay religious organizations of the Catholic Church. Founded in Jerusalem in about 1048, the Order of Malta remains true to its mission to seek the glorified God through its work with the poor and the sick, and to bear living witness to the Catholic faith.

Host Jane Hanson and notable scholars from Catholic University of America discuss the importance and practical applications of The Compendium to the Catechism of the Catholic Church an abridgement of The Catechism of the Catholic Church, enthusiastically promoted by Pope Benedict XVI as an invaluable aid for Catholics in applying Church teaching to their everyday lives.

The series explores key doctrinal themes of The Compendium in the light of four of the literally hundreds of charitable missions of the Order of Malta worldwide.
