  • I love how emotional he gets over serving a cup of tea

  • Oh my God! I owned this record as a small boy, and played it over and over. What a serious flashback.

  • @StanPomeray LOL I was listening when I read this made me laugh freak popeye all we needed to hear was Olive Oil :D

  • I hear this on Sirius/XM's Kids Place Live a lot

  • I wouldn't care at all if she looked like a garbage can. One of the great lyrics of all time.

  • Thanks so much for posting this. I haven't heard this since 1966.

  • First heard by me on John Peel about 1981.

I didn't actually realise it was supposed to be a robot voice - I actually thought it was supposed to be Popeye the Sailor!

I also thought the lyric was "does anyone here know a rubber girl....." Hmmm. Yes, well.....

  • this is maaaad ...i just picked it uplately . i couldnt pass it .. the band name done it...and jackmo...your right. sweet and sour on b side..

  • @jackamo23 I had a copy of this as a kid. It was a promo only copy and the flip side had Teddy Randazzo doing a conventional instrumental titled "Sweet and Sour" or something to that effect.
