@bigben5051 Thanks, yes but 5029 has 4 cyls v 34067 has 3, to give 5029 tractive effort 31.6k v 34067 te 27.7k. I've been puzzling about this. Is the end result affected by 34067 having superheat v 5029 (I believe) not? I've read it can make up to 30% difference. Would be interesting to see what 5043 could do.

@tedgoater I think your comment is a little unfair. Lets look at both locos:
5029: 1923 design, 6' 8 1/2" wheels, 225psi boiler pressure, a small boiler
34067: 1940s design, 6' 2" wheels, 250psi boiler pressure, large boiler
It's fairly obvious which engine will go up faster...

@hemerdonbank As I have said Keith, just ask if you need directions.

Thanks. Can't beat a single chimney castle for sound...

Thanks. It's a mutch better spot now the traffic is on the new road.
Fantastic clips Keith, a single chimney Castle flat out and sounding amazing...That was definitely hair standing on the back of the neck stuff....Thanks....Bob

Thanks Bob. Nunney always provides good viewing and always worth going to see. Keith

Great sound quality, thank you. Pure lack of power I reckon. Was interesting to see Tangmere run away with it by comparison a few weeks ago.

@tedgoater
Thank you. You're right, plenty of noise but maybe the performance not up to Tangmere's. Keith
