  • my teacher showed this in class today

  • @renatojosediaz1 nice!!

  • you had to learn this in college??????? Most people do it in middle school!!!!

  • @mysterys1nger this was extra credit for my sophomore Honors College Algebra 2 class in high school

  • Okay, I hate to be the one to bring accurate math into this, but this rendition of the song has a MAJOR MATHEMATICAL ERROR. Okay, maybe not major, but significant. Formulas come in the form of EQUATIONS, not expressions. You cannot rightly say "The Quadratic Formula is negative b plus or minus the square root of b squared minus 4ac all over 2a." The correct lyrics of the song are "X EQUALS negative b plus or minus square root of b squared minus 4ac all over 2a." Just sayin'...

  • @bisdaklagi cool

  • My teacher was singing this and I was like.....you're not gonna even teach us the song?

  • @bisdaklagi And "Just sayin' saying is in a sentence is the same as saying equals.

  • im pretty sure kids in elementary dont know what quadratic means and what square root is

  • My teacher showed this video to me in Algebra today. I'm in eighth grade and this is a good thing to remember if you have trouble or if you forget this formula, but i don't have a problem with it. I sang it the WHOLE DAY and my friends thought it was kind of annoying, but i did it anyway...lol. GREAT, now it's stuck in my head...

  • Just so you know...Im dubstepping this song right now for extra credit

  • oh ms.daily, thank you so much for chanting this for 45 min. for a whole day.

  • @renatojosediaz1 same!!!!!!

  • @Nickyboy9 See my reply to jhayes1994 below.

  • @jhayes1994 The quadratic formula is actually part of a larger theorem that says, "If ax^2 + bx + c = 0, then x = -b...." So if your quadratic is in a variable other than x, you substitute that variable for x in order to use the theorem.

  • @adam808yahoo Yeah, but "the quadratic formula" doesn't mean "x".
