I think this plan is too ambitious, if the ASEAN Community aims to undermine the EU, the US, or any sociopolitical organizations in terms of connectivity and economic stability, then the proponents should have started some years ago. But otherwise, I would love the idea of becoming one concrete community ... especially with Malaysia and Singapore :)

ia and other selected European countries have alot of program concerning on poverty in Asia especially on Southeast Asia.I hope ASEAN makes a good agreement or deals if this countries combined/help ASEAN region, this is a big step forward to progress. -
wow this video encourages ASEAN countries to be more connected not just in investment,economy,culture related progress but also as a good partnership and relationship by means of helping each other, now and future comes.hope ASEAN countries will produced alot of good programs for the development and advancement of every countries that are member of the association,technologies for example.

From peace comes prosperity?
Maybe... what about equal income distribtuion? What about Human Rights? What about a people centred ASEAN instead of a people-oriented? What about kicking Myanmar/Burma is not out of ASEAN at least forcefully in the right direction? Oh i forgot... the ASEAN Way of non interference. I guess about 80% of BUrmese would love ASEAN to interfere... But well ASEAN is elitist and not people-centered.
At least that brings prosperity to the elites in ASEAN right? ;-)
