The Aussies and Kiwis were fighting against Hitler's best frontline general and a highly trained enemy equipped with panzers. The Scouts were fighting the Mau Mau - illiterate jungle niggers not long down from the trees and armed primarily with sharpened sticks. Despite this the Scouts still got their arses kicked militarily and had to watch impotently as the nig nogs took over Rhodesia... sorry, Zimbabwe.
When all is said and done the Scouts were utter failures.

@MrFattyfatfatboy No, what Rommel actually said was Australians were the best individual enemy soldiers he ever fought, they refused to surrender when surrounded and were utterly superb at conducting night tactical probing raids, but at times they lacked military discipline - particularly when taking orders from a British commander. He thought New Zealanders weren't quite as good soldiers on a one to one basis, but they displayed better discipline and didn't chafe at being under British command.

@aahole651 actualy i dont think we would beat you,plus like rommel said Austrlians are better when fighting with Kiwis than not,kiwis are a little cooler and keep the Australians from getting ahead of them selves,(desert generals) its an english book but better than the rest of the english history books.
