Yep, MTV used to be cool. I know it's hard to believe, but, in the 1980's and the early 90's, MTV was quite fun. MTV should have stayed "all music, all the time", and created a new channel for their reality shows. This is an example of a brilliant vision being taken over and twisted into something that, at the end of the day, just sucks. This happens way too much in America, and it's largely due to the fact that corporations control everything in our lives based on money.

Why is Stipe playing guitar and not just Buck? It looks almost as weird as if Morrissey were to suddenly pull out an acoustic guitar and start playing.

I prefer the stark acoustic version off Up but this one has some lovely piano bits and the percussion aids it well too.

Have you got more of REM at Storytellers? I used to have this program recorded but I lost it, and it's such a fond performance... Specially At my most beautiful, at the end of the program. In fact, I began to love REM watching it. Thank you!
