Well Well Well" is a song from the album John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band by John Lennon with backing from the Plastic Ono Band featuring Ringo Starr on drums and Klaus Voorman on bass. The song is arguably the loudest and heaviest song on the album, and is the second of two songs on this album, along with "I Found Out", to feature distortion. It is also the second song on this album, along with "Mother", to feature screaming.
The song narrates various situations with his loved one, Yoko Ono, with whom he discusses themes of revolution, liberalism, women's liberation, and guilt.
The band Cold War Kids recorded a cover of this song. Super 8 recorded a version for the 1995 tribute album Working Class Hero: A Tribute to John Lennon. The song was also featured in Martin Scorsese's 2006 film, The Departed, as well as the second season of the Showtime series, Brotherhood. In 2007, Rocky Dawuni's version appeared on Instant Karma: The Amnesty International Campaign to Save Darfur as an iTunes exclusive bonus track.

  • @jminnehan so debatable. John and Paul were both very different. If you like musical knowledge, technicality, and experimentation you've got to give it to Paul. If you like conversational-melodies and honesty, give it to John.

  • What a great singer!
